Ravishing Vimala Raman's Biography


Vimala Raman is an Indian film actress and model and a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. She has appeared in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films. The lady is 5’6” with black hair and eyes.

Vimala Raman was born on 23rd January, 1980 in Sydney, Australia. At the young age of five she started her training in Bharatanatyam from Natanalaya Dance Academy, Sydney. In 2004 she won the Miss India Australia title as well as the Miss India Australia cyberqueen title.

Vimala has completed her degree in BSc Information Systems from the University of New South Wales.

In 1991, she joined her current guru, Smt. Jayalukshmi Kandiah O.A.M and the Natanalaya Dance and Music Academy, based in Sydney, Australia, where she further specialised in Bharthanatyam.



Apart from performing locally she has also given numerous international performances. Vimala has completed numerous modelling assignments.

In October 2004 Vimala won the crown for the Miss India Australia 2004 title, as well as the Miss India Australia Cyber Queen title. This has seen her being awarded by the Australia India Business Chamber - the “Youth Ambassodor” title.

Vimala took part in a production by the renowned dancer C.V Chandrasekhar from India, “KREEDA” performing both in Canberra and Sydney. Vimala also had the honour of being invited to perform at the Ganesh Temple in New York, America, where she gave a full-fledged program to a complete and appreciative audience.


She went as part of a troupe of “Australian Indians” to perform in numerous places in Sri Lanka and also performed in many places in India, including the Music Academy in Chennai, Kalaimamani Awards (Chennai), Mahabalipuram Dance Festival, Chidambaram Shiva Temple and in the National College,Bangalore.


With her wonderful acting and her stylish looks she has bagged many roles in films.

In 2006, Vimala Raman made her debut with K Balachander’s Poi.

Her first Malayalam movie was Time with Suresh Gopi. She paired with Ajmal Ameer in Pranayakalam in 2007. In the same year, she also appeared with Mammooty in Nasrani and with Dileep in Romeoo.

In 2009, she appear in Telugu movie "Evariena Epudaina". Later she acted in "Gaayam 2", "Chukkalanti Ammai Chakkanaina Abbai", "Ranga The Donga", etc.,

She also actes in Kannada movie "Aptharakshaka".


In December 2010, Vimala Raman is making her entry into Hollywood with ‘Dam 999′, a 3D film directed by Sohan Roy with Joshau Frederic Smith and Ashish Vidyarthi in the lead. The film also stars Vinay Rai (Vaana Fame).

In 2008 she altered her given name to Yaana.



In 2001 she was named as the new face for 'Lakme cosmetics in India', replacing former Lakme model Lisa Ray.

Yana has been modelling since the age of 16, worked in Milan, Paris and Vienna, even working on brands like Nivea and Shiseido before settling India, where her husband is based.


Yana made her big screen debut in the Bollywood movie Dum for the song Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo which made her famous for cameo item numbers.

She has also appeared in south Indian language movies including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada movies. She is also very famous for her song "Kadhaal Yaanai" from the blockbuster Tamil film Anniyan (dubbed in Hindi as Aparichit), "Aadatanama" from the Telugu film Gharshana, and "Akaleste..." opposite Mega star Chiranjeevi from the Telugu film Shankar Dada Zindabad.


Before her career in Bollywood, she modeled for international clients like Calvin Klein and Victoria's Secret.

Vijayashanti is an Indian film actress and a politician from Andhra Pradesh. She has acted in over 185 movies in seven languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Prior to joining politics in 2004, she was a leading actress in Telugu and Tamil films.

The actress was born as Shanti on 24th June 1966. Yester years Telugu film actress Vijaya Lalitha is her aunt.

She began her acting career in 1979 at the age of 13 as the leading lady in the Tamil film Kallukkul Eeram ("The moisture inside stone / rock") directed by the legendary Tamil film-maker Bharati Raja.


The same year, she debuted in her native Telugu with the movie Kilaadi Krishnudu, pairing opposite superstar Krishna.

For the first few years, she portrayed mostly glamour roles. Notable among them is her role in the Telugu film Satyam-Shivam (1981), the cast of which included the two legends of Telugu Cinema - NTR, and ANR.


Vijayashanti's first break as a performer came in the 1983 Telugu film Neti Bharatam directed by T. Krishna.

The next few years saw her in performance-oriented roles. In films like Desamlo Dongalu Paddaaru, Vandemaataram, Pratighatana, Aruna Kiranam, Repati Pourulu, and Devalayam she appeared in roles which demanded good acting skills. In 1990, the blockbuster movie Karthavyam, her performance as a tough cop (modeled after real-life supercop Kiran Bedi) won her the National Film Award from Indian Government and an Andhra Pradesh State award for best actress. She became third women to win national award for best actress from Telugu industry. The success of this movie saw her moving away from glamorous roles and limiting herself to tough lady roles. These tough lady roles made her a lady super star in Telugu.


In 1990, Kartavyam was dubbed into Tamil as Vijayanthi IPS and its success brought her actress in Tamil cinema as well. It was also remade in Hindi as Tejaswini, with herself playing the lead role. As expected, Tejaswini did very well at the Hindi box-office.

Following the success of Vijayanthi IPS, the producers of her films began releasing Tamil versions of her movies simultaneously with the Telugu Movies. After she started concentrating on Action roles. some thing special is her nativity showing.

In 1997 she started her political career by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Soon she was made the secretary of BJP's Women's Wing (Bharateeya Mahila Morcha). During the 1999 Indian general elections she was named BJP's contestant from the Cuddapah (or Kadapa) Lok Sabha seat against Sonia Gandhi of Congress(I) (however, she withdrew from the race after Sonia Gandhi decided to contest from Bellary).

She started her own political party, Talli Telangana, which merged into Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) due to lack of strenght and support, in January 2009.

In 2009 General Election of 15th Lok Sabha she won Medak seat. She is actively participating in the telangana agitation for a separate state for the telangana region.

She is credited as "The Lady Superstar" of South Indian cinema. At the peak of her career, she was among the highest paid movie stars in India.


She was mostly paired with Chiranjivi in 19 films, and then Bala Krishna (in 17 films), Krishna (in 12 films).

Vidya Balan is an Indian actress, who appears in Bollywood films.

Vidya Balan was born on 1st January, 1978 in Ottapalam, Palakkad District, Kerala in a Tamil speaking Iyer family.

Her father is P. R. Balan (Vice President of ETC Channel) and her mother is a housewife. She has an elder sister, Priya. However, South Indian sexy actress Priyamani is her cousin sister.


She did her schooling at St. Anthony Girls' High School, Chembur, Mumbai, and later attended St. Xavier's College where she majored in Sociology. She went on to study MA at the University of Mumbai, when she got her first film offer.

After graduating in sociology, she began her career starring in many music videos, T.V shows and many commercials, before appearing in movies.


Her acting career started when she signed up for the Malayalam film Chakram, alongside Mohanlal but the film was shelved. After that, she signed on for the Tamil film, Run, but for reasons undisclosed, she was dropped after a first schedule and replaced by Meera Jasmine. When Chakram was restarted with Prithviraj in the lead, Meera Jasmine was chosen ahead of Vidya Balan again.


She then turned to television advertising. From 1998 onwards, she appeared in numerous television ads, many of which were directed by Pradeep Sarkar. She also took supporting roles in music videos, appearing with singers and bands such as Euphoria, Shubha Mudgal, and Pankaj Udhas. She subsequently essayed a variety of character roles, receiving her first commercial success with Rajkumar Hirani's Lage Raho Munna Bhai in 2006. Once again her performance was well received by critics and the film became the second highest grossing film of that year.

She followed it with Heyy Babyy (2008) and Bhool Bhulaiya (2008),the latter earning her another nomination for a Filmfare Award for Best Actress. In 2009 she appeared in R. Balki's Paa, in a performance that ultimately won her a Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

Veena Malik is a Pakistani actress, model and comedienne. Over a span of ten years, she has worked with news channels and in movies, garnering accolades and acclaim for her performances. Malik has since established herself as a leading actress of Urdu cinema.

Veena Malik's real name Zahida Malik. She has claimed to be born on 26 February 1980 in Lahore, Pakistan, to a doctor working at an army medical hospital. The family soon settled in Rawalpindi after the child was born. Her grandmother named her Zahida but the parents insisted on keeping Veena as the girl's first name. Her father's busy schedule led her grandmother to become Veena's guardian from the time she was six years old and nurtured her until her teens when she died.


Her father is Ali Malik, a former Pakistani army soldier and her mother, Zeenat Malik. Veena Malik has five sisters and one brother. One of her elder sisters is a lecturer in Abdur Qadeer College, Rawalpindi.

She holds a BA in Sociology, Psychology and Persian.

The FHM cover shows Veena Malik tattooed her arms with 'ISI'- Pakistan's notorious intelligence agency known for its close ties with terror organizations. The issue also has Malik talking about controversial topics like veil in Muslim societies.

Veena Malik has meanwhile denied doing any such photo shoot and says the photo is forged and modified to show her completely nude. Veena Malik says she was topless but did not pose completely nude, and has sued the magazine over the images.

However the news about Veena Malik's strip off photo shoot has gone viral on the web and among her Pakistani fans and critics.


Veena Malik, who was reported ‘missing’ for two days resurfaced, and insisted that she was in a Mumbai hotel ‘resting’ not missing.

There were rumours that the Pakistani actress had staged her own disappearance for a publicity stunt, while other reports said that she had left India in a burqa for over-staying her visa.

But Malik says that she has been in India all this time and checked in a hotel ‘to crash’.
