Beautiful belle actress: Sadha biography



Sadha (also known as Sada or Sadaf) is a South Indian actress who mainly appears in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films. Her most notable films include Jayam, Anniyan and Unnale Unnale.

Sada is born on 17th February 1984 to a Marathi Muslim family in Ratnagiri of Maharashtra state.

Her original name is Sadhaaf Mohammed Syed and her screen name is “Sada”. Her name “Sadaf” means oyster.Her nickname is Darlo (from the word "darling") and when she entered movies she arrived at the screen name Sada by combining Sadhaaf and Darlo.


This dark brown haired girl is 5 feet and 4 inches tall.

Her father is a Muslim and her mother was a Hindu, later she convert as a muslim. Being the only child in the family with no siblings, there is no end for her love towards her parents.


She was educated till 12th standard after which she started focusing her attention towards the lights and camera. She was an Engineering student studying Information Technology when she got an offer to act.

She attended school at Ratnagiri Sacred Hearts Convent and then went to Mumbai to continue her studies until she became an established actress.


The beautiful belle actress Sada made her film debut in the 2002 Telugu film Jayam with Nitin. She won the 2002 Filmfare South Best Female Debut Award for her role in the movie.


Afterwards, she appeared in Aethiree opposite Madhavan and Varnajalam opposite Srikanth. She received a best Newcomer Filmfare Award in 2005. In 2005 she appeared in the Tamil movie Anniyan.

She has appeared in a number of films across different movie industries in India, in different languages.Sada also appeared in Kannada movies. Monalisa her first release in Kannada.

Talented Sada proves herself through her first Hindi film ‘Click’ directed by Sangeeth Sivan and the audience up north have recognised Sada and her abilities.

Sadha made a place for herself in the South Indian film industry with the release of Anniyan opposite to Vikram directed by Sankar in 2005. The movie was dubbed in Telugu as "Aparichitudu. Anniyan is her biggest hit to date.


Rumours were spread relating Sadha and married actor Madhavan. But Sada refused there news. However there is a video proof, that Madhavan was seen at a restaurant with Sadaf and the two were displaying signs that the two were in love.


Sada admires Bollywood actresses like Madhuri Dixit and Meena Kumari and also Bollywood stars like Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan. She loves the movie Kaho Na Pyar Hai and her hobbies include watching movies and listening to music. She sets her own code in dressing, and she hates smoking cigarettes.


The actress Sada has a target of proving herself as a good actress. She was also a part of Mani Ratnam's stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai alongside many other co-stars.
